LEGEND IN SEYCHELLOIS MUSIC

Stanley Beaufond, one of the pioneers of Seychellois music born in Seychelles 1918.  Made his dream come true...

Remembered mostly as the local musician familiar on the 'gramophone' in the 60s, this legendary figure was also well appreciated for his animated stage performances and jovial personality.  'Ayo Pangar' 'Boom Boom' 'Malonet' 'Fandango' and 'Dayo are only some of his popular tunes that earned him fame locally and made him a household name.

He first started singing at school and sang the loudest so had to put him at the back of the choir.  He said; - "My singing career started in Kenya where I recorded 12 songs including Dayo which was a success in Seychelles in the 50s.  I was the first Seychellois to do Vinyl records in the Seychelles.  I was classed as a pioneer in my day.  I had a second revival career when I went back to Seychelles and recorded another 12 songs which made the famous song Boom Boom which went to No2 in the Seychelles Music Charts".

He will next be putting some not heard before songs in Seychelles coming December 2018 and will be putting out a song that was banned in the Seychelles because it considered to be too controversary......
